I hope your holidays were relaxing and you're gearing up for the new year around the corner. It's hard to believe Groove tour is just six months away! In light of training season, I'll be sharing a sample training plan you can follow to prepare Groove Tour.
Some things to consider:
1. This is a recreational tour and not a race. Your training plan should get you familiar with all aspects of road biking including gearing up and down at appropriate times and keeping your endurance in check.
2. The total mileage of the trip is around approximately 142 miles spread out over three days. Day 1: 60 miles, Day 2: 45 miles, Day 3: 40 miles.
3. The training plan is purely a sample plan. It is up to each rider to develop a training plan that meets his/her needs.
4. The sample plan I will share begins with outdoor riding in March. In advance of this, indoor cycling classes at gyms are extremely useful to get you in the right frame of mind and build your endurance.
